After almost half a century in power, Cuba's Fidel Castro is stepping down.
He made the announcement overnight on the online edition of the Cuban Communist Daily paper Granma [the national toilet paper]. More from ABC News.

Raul castro assumes the throne
My boss called me early this morning to give me the news that fidel castro has resigned. I don't know what it is? I am happy about it, but why am I not jubilant?

What's to be happy about? American is still a collectivist nation and Cuba much more so.
