Is he dead yet?

According to writer Mario Vargas Llosa, in Latin America no dictatorship has lasted longer than the dictator. Why should Cuba be any different? Die already you bastard, so that Cubans may live in freedom!

Por otro lado, Vargas Llosa abordó la situación política en Cuba bajo el mando de Fidel Castro e indicó que tiene "la absoluta seguridad de que su dictadura no va a sobrevivirle".

Explicó que "en América Latina nunca una dictadura ha sobrevivido a su dictador. O sea, que el final de la pesadilla cubana yo creo que está cerca".

"Y ojalá que la transición de Cuba a la democracia sea pacífica, porque ya los cubanos han sufrido bastante con estos 50 años de tiranía comunista" , concluyó el autor de "Pantaleón y las visitadoras".

Chavez government to finance Danny Glover film

CARACAS, Venezuela — Venezuela's Congress says it has approved financing for two films by actor Danny Glover, a close supporter of President Hugo Chavez.
The lawmaking body, which is closely allied with Chavez, said in a statement on its Web site Thursday that it approved $20 million for two Glover productions.
