His mother, Gricelda Plata, 22, was draped in an oversized T-shirt that announced, “I delivered America’s 300 millionth baby.” She and the boy’s father, Armando Jimenez, 25, a cook who works in Forest Hills, are immigrants from Puebla, Mexico, and live in East New York, Brooklyn.

I don't have to look at N.Y. to see the changes taking place in the population. Right here in Fresno and Tulare counties I've seen the changes during the past three decades.
I don't know how long you've lived in California but it's not the same as when I came in '63.
My friend, I have been here for almost 20 years and I see the change. And every day I see more changes.
