President George Bush will appear on television tonight to announce his deployment of National Guard troops to the pourous US/Mexico border. I hope he shows true lidership by announcing a clear comprehensive plan to secure the border, and this is not just a water down last minute effort to save his sagging approval rating.

I heard a great part of his speech and disagree with his idea of granting the right for the illegals to stay here. He didn't call amnesty but that's what it is. He talked about sending 6,000 troops to the border but that's not enough when you have thousands coming across. And how long are these National Guards going to the border? How about talking to Fox and telling him to do something to stem the flow? But he will not do it. We will revisit this issue in another decade.
Another decade and another 12 million.
